The first annual event hosted by the Ipswich Central Hotel. Showcasing some of Queensland’s finest upcoming rock acts.
4 LIVE BANDS: HEE HAW, Dr Peppernickle’s Orphanarium of Obese Aristocrats, Hit N Mizz and Roadhouse.
HEE HAW: Hard rocking original band, with a high stage energy performance that will blow your mind. They literally crawled out’ve a volcano, they’re described as renegades, heathens, outlaws…. if you can find them, maybe you can hire them.
Dr Peppernickle’s Orphanarium of Obese Aristocrats: an experimental duo featuring the handiwork of George Crimmins (drums/vocals) and Adam Bloom (bass/vocals). They search for new sounds, clawing at the escaping exhaust fumes of their souls. They lay down honest grooves and explore their tainted vision of the world. They are a Brisbane-based duo, established in 2011. Nightmares From Far Away is their third full-length album, written between 2015 and 2018 and recorded live on the 28th and 29th July 2018 at Horsington Studio in Morningside. It was recorded and engineered by Jamen Lyndon and Adam Bloom. The album art is by Nelson Gibbins. It is an album which explores the edges of sanity and feelings of desperation and hopelessness, whilst compelling one’s head to bop along.
Hit N Mizz: Formed in 2018 after finding herself at a crossroad in the music Industry and wanting more, Mizzie rounded up members from other bands ( Stole Them ) and started rehearsing and performing live with her original music. Mizzie Maxx is the ultimate badass frontwoman who struts her stuff with confidence. Her performances are never dull. She morphs from a punk princess to a rock queen showing her versatility and testament to her growth as a musician. The band is a powerhouse combination of your 80s rock with a punk attitude. They have one aim and that’s to have fun and play music. Together they are Mizfits and Bratz just like their fans that have come together for the love of rock n roll and are hell-bent on delivering a rock show.
Roadhouse: Roadhouse are an original fresh Aussie rock n’ roll band hailing out of South East Queensland, Australia. Catchy riffs, booming vocals, thumping bass and banging drums make for a performance that brings crazy energy and gets the crowd moving. At a Roadhouse show you’ll see the heads banging, drinks pouring and a band losing their fuckin’ minds on rock n’ roll.
